Here are two versions of the same tune, Flight of the Foo Birds. The first is from the Basie recording, The Atomic Mr. Basie. I’m sure everyone has heard it before and most of you probably have it. It’s a classic.
The second is what one of my very favorite vocal groups, The Real Group, from Sweeden did to it. It is great, especially Lockjaw’s solo. The singer has him down. I totally fell out when I first heart it
